Silver 16″ seven-hole alloy wheels were mounted with 225/50 General G-MAX AS-05 tires under current ownership. Compared to earlier models, the 1986.5 928S featured uprated antilock disc brakes at each corner.
The interior has been refreshed and features power-adjustable front bucket seats and folding individual rear seats trimmed in black leather. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Sony Bluetooth stereo.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 170-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage.
The 5.0-liter V8 is equipped with an aluminum radiator and was factory rated at 288 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque. The engine was reportedly rebuilt as part of the refurbishment.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted five-speed manual transaxle that was reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment.
