This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was delivered new to James Pontiac-GMC of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and is finished in Cameo white over Carmine red. Power is provided by a 403ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was purchased by the seller in 2001, and a 2017 refurbishment consisted of steering work along with replacing the brake lines, calipers, rotors, gas tank, carpeting, and seat belts. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, Hooker headers, a Flowmaster muffler, power front disc brakes, rear window louvers, front and rear spoilers, cruise control, velour seat upholstery, and a Clarion cassette stereo with an equalizer.
The car is finished in Cameo white and features a shaker hood, “screaming chicken” hood decal, black taillights, rear window louvers, front and rear spoilers, fender vents, and a quad exit polished exhaust.

The interior features seats upholstered Carmine red velour with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include front bucket seats, door handle ornamentation, the pedal trim package, cruise control, and a Clarion cassette stereo with equalizer. The seller notes the air conditioning system was disconnected under previous ownership.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and fronts a 100-mph speedometer, 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The seller notes the coolant temperature gauge does not work, and the clock does not keep time. The six-digit odometer shows 67k miles.
The 403ci V8 was factory rated at 185 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Work completed during the 2017 refurbishment includes servicing the alternator, and replacing the serpentine belts, spark plugs, and coolant hoses. Modifications include the addition of Hooker headers and Flowmaster mufflers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The differential gasket was replaced in 2017.
