This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro sport coupe was acquired by the seller in 2018, and subsequent work included disassembling the body and refinishing the exterior in green with white rally stripes. The car is powered by a 350ci V8 and four-speed manual transmission, and service in 2020 included replacing the water pump, alternator, engine mounts, and ignition components. Equipment includes a raised cowl induction hood, long-tube headers, front and rear spoilers, a Hurst shifter, black vinyl upholstery, a Sanyo cassette stereo, chrome 15” Cragar wheels, power steering, and front disc brakes.
Chrome 15” Cragar wheels are mounted with white-letter BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is through front discs with rear drums, and the seller notes that the brake lines have been cleaned and the master cylinder, brake pads, shock absorbers, suspension bushings, and rotors were replaced.
The front bucket seats and contoured rear bench were reupholstered in black vinyl and the headliner, carpets, door panels, and shifter boot were replaced in June 2020. Appointments include a center console with a USB plug, a Sanyo AM/FM cassette stereo, and a Hurst shifter.
The two-spoke steering wheel is cracked and sits ahead of a replacement Z28-style instrument cluster that includes a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and supplementary gauges. Supplementary digital readouts are mounted in the center stack.
The 350ci V8 was fitted with a replacement harmonic balancer, water pump, engine mounts, fuel pump, alternator, and ignition components in April 2020, and additional work at that time is said to have included rebuilding the carburetor and replacing the spark plugs along with various gaskets, seals, and hoses. Equipment consists of chrome valve covers and long-tube headers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission that has reportedly been overhauled, and it was fitted with a replacement clutch kit in April 2020.
