This 1960 Triumph TR3A is a red-over-black convertible that is said to have been refurbished during previous ownership, and it was acquired by the seller in August 2021. The body is said to have been refinished in its current shade of red during previous ownership, and is fitted with a white soft top and a black boot cover. Equipment includes fender-mounted mirrors, a chrome-finished front bumper with overriders, chrome-finished rear bumperettes, quarter-panel stone guards, and a rear luggage rack mounted with a wicker basket.
Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels are secured with two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 165/80 BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc brakes and rear drums. According to the seller, the brake master cylinder was replaced in preparation for the sale, as were the clutch master and slave cylinder.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black leather with white piping. Black carpets line the floors, and additional appointments include door map pockets, a chrome grab bar, and a locking glovebox.
The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instruments including a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, while an ammeter and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows under 7,500 miles.
The 2.0-liter inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors, and maintenance in preparation for the sale reportedly included a tune-up and an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
