This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was acquired by the seller in 2000 and was subsequently stripped for the replacement of various body panels and a repaint in yellow with black stripes. This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was acquired by the seller in 2000 and was subsequently stripped for the replacement of various body panels and a repaint in yellow with black stripes. A big-block V8 was rebuilt to displace 476ci and is complemented by an FiTech fuel-injection system as well as a Richmond six-speed manual transmission. The chassis was modified with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, Wilwood front disc brakes, welded subframe connectors, traction bars, and sway bars. The interior is trimmed in black and has been fitted with an eight-point roll bar, and other features include a retro-style stereo, 15″ Weld wheels, and RS-style headlight assemblies.
The seller states that from 2001 to 2002 the body was media-blasted and the roof, door skins, front fenders, rear quarter panels, hood, trunk lid, and inner wheel wells were replaced due to rust. The car was refinished in Chrome Yellow—a color sourced from the 1990s Ford palette—using PPG materials, and the seller also notes that much of the trim was replaced at that time. Black stripes extend down the hood and trunk lid, and other features include RS-style headlights, a front lip, and a rear spoiler.
Chrome-finished 15″ Weld wheels are mounted with 215/65 BFGoodrich Radial T/A front tires and 275/60 Nitto NT555R rear rubber. The car is also equipped with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, power brakes with Wilwood front discs, welded subframe connectors, rear traction bars, and sway bars front and rear.
The interior features an eight-point roll bar as well as front bucket seats and a rear bench with black upholstery. The car has been updated with a Painless wiring harness, and features include an FiTech module, a Hurst T-handle shifter, and a retro-style stereo in the woodgrain center stack.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock. AutoMeter auxiliary gauges are located ahead of the shifter. The five-digit odometer shows just under 29k miles.
The seller states that the 454ci V8 with four-bolt main bearings was overbored and rebuilt to displace 476ci and utilizes the following equipment:

The oil was changed in July 2021. The car’s chassis number indicates that it came from the factory with a V8 engine under the hood.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Richmond six-speed manual transmission. The 12-bolt rear axle is said to be equipped with a 3.08:1 Richmond gearset as well as Strange Engineering axles that eliminate the need for C-clips.
