This 1983 Porsche 911SC Targa is finished in metallic brown over matching leather and is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Subsequent service has included rebuilding the engine, replacing the clutch and flywheel, and refinishing the removable roof panel. The body is finished in metallic brown and features a black removable roof panel, which was refurbished in May 2020. The windshield and headlight assemblies were replaced in 2018. Additional equipment includes impact bumpers, fog lights, a rear window defroster, and power-adjustable side mirrors.
Fuchs-style 16″ wheels show wear in their painted centers and are mounted with Continental Extreme Contact tires that measure 205/55 in the front and 225/50 out back.
The cabin features seats upholstered in brown leather with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include cruise control, power windows, and a short shifter that was installed in 2020. The Porsche Classic Communication Management stereo is linked to aftermarket speakers and features navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, and secondary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 93k miles.
The 3.0-liter flat-six was rebuilt in February 2018 by European Performance Engineering of Natick, Massachusetts. Service at that time included rebuilding the cylinder heads and replacing the pistons, valves, cylinder head studs, and chain tensioner.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch and flywheel were replaced in February 2018.
