This 1939 Graham “Sharknose” convertible is a refurbished and modified example powered by a 302ci V8 paired with an AOD four-speed automatic transmission and a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear axle. The car is finished in ivory and orange over a matching interior and features include Vintage Air climate control, Mustang II type front suspension, electronic ignition, a four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, power windows, electronic opening doors, Honda-sourced front seats with shoulder belts, a VW Beetle-sourced convertible top and quarter windows, a 1950s Chevrolet trim pieces, modified hood ornament, and a Pioneer CD stereo.
The car is said to have been converted from a 2-door sedan to a convertible and repainted in ivory and orange during the refurbishment. Features include a VW Super Beetle-sourced convertible soft top with modified bows and quarter windows, a chrome spotlight and bumpers, custom-built stainless center hood trim, and 1956 Bel-Air fender and quarter panel trim, rear fender skirts, stone guards, and dual-outlet exhaust.
The orange-painted steel wheels wear chrome trim rings and Graham hubcaps and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall radial tires. Additional features include a Mustang II-style front suspension, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, and rear shock absorbers with leaf springs. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features ivory leather upholstery joined by a matching dashboard, door panel accents, and headliner along with contrasting orange seat belts and taupe carpets. Features include power windows, Vintage Air climate control, electronic opening doors, Honda-sourced front seats with shoulder belts, rear window blinds, tinted sun visors, and a Pioneer CD stereo.
The banjo-style steering wheel is mounted to an adjustable chrome column and features a Graham script center. A center-mounted 1951 Chevrolet multi-function gauge houses a 100 mph speedometer and readouts for battery voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 280 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The original engine was removed and replaced with a 302ci V8 which features a four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and body-colored dress-up pieces.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an AOD four-speed automatic transmission and a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear axle.
