This 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is powered by a turbocharged 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and G2 Dana 44 front and rear axles with ARB locking differentials. The truck is finished in black over a matching interior, and additional equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, and black 20″ Fuel Trophy wheels along with an AEV half-cab conversion with a mid-gate, a Banks Power turbo, intake, exhaust, and methanol injection system, a Rubicon Express 5.5″ long-arm lift kit, a front winch bumper with a waterproof Smittybilt X20 winch, lighting updates, Corbeau heated suspension seats, and a Pioneer stereo system with MB Quart speakers and two 10” subwoofers.
The Wrangler Unlimited “LJ” model featured a 103″ wheelbase, approximately 15″ longer than the standard Wrangler. This example is finished in Brilliant Black with a matching AEV removable half-cab hardtop with a mid-gate, full metal doors, a black rear bumper and fender flares, front and rear tow hooks, and a rear tire carrier with a full-size spare. Additional modifications include:
Black 20″ eight-spoke Fuel Trophy wheels are mounted with 35×12.5″ Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 tires including a full-size spare. The Jeep is equipped with a Rubicon Express 5.5” long-arm lift kit, a Currie Correctlync steering system, chromoly shafts, and Fox remote-reservoir shock absorbers along with a big brake conversion kit with cross drilled and slotted rotors.
The cabin features Corbeau heated suspension seats covered in black cloth with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets along with Line-X spray-on bedliner material applied under the carpeting throughout the cab. Equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, a Pioneer stereo system with MB Quart speakers and two 10” subwoofers hidden behind the seats, power accessories, a keyless entry and alarm system, a passenger grab bar, a Tuffy Security center console, and a locking glovebox.
A four-spoke steering wheel fronts a tachometer, a 100-mph speedometer, and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level along with added gauges for boost and transmission temperature on the driver-side A-pillar. Banks IQ touch-screen and Straight-Shot monitors are mounted above the rear-view mirror. The digital odometer indicates 62k miles.
The 4.0-liter inline-six has been modified with a Banks Power Sidewinder turbocharger, ram-air intake, header, exhaust, and methanol injection system.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and G2 front and rear Dana 44 axles with ARB locking differentials.
